There is no such thing as too many social networks decided Google and launched its own network Google+. Currently the project is in limited Field Trial but everyone who is interested in joining can leave an email address for updates on the developments and an upcoming invitation.
According to Google their social network is an attempt to help people connect on the web just like in real life. The following features have been introduced to Google+ to make online communication simpler:
- Circles – sharing the right stuff with the right people. All you need to do is click and drag the people from your friends list into the right circles.
- Sparks helps you find information you are interested in and join with other people sharing your interest.
- Hangouts is a somewhat nostalgic feature dating back to those times when people would get out in the real world and accidentally bump into their friends in a club, park, pub or another public place. With Hangouts it becomes possible on the web for the first time.
Well, and if it so happens that you do get out for real, Google + offers some cool mobile features to help you keep up your online sharing.
